...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 345 PM CDT FOR
STONE COUNTY...

At 1145 AM CDT, Stone county emergency management reported that C.G.
Evans Road northwest of Wiggins had washed out due to flash
flooding. Bridges were also barricaded off at Martin Creek and
Chaney Creek on New Hope Road.

At 1200 PM CDT, Doppler radar continued to detect additional showers
and thunderstorms moving into Stone county. Radar estimates that
widespread 4 to 8 inches of rain, with isolated amounts over 10
inches has fallen in northwestern portions of Stone county since
earlier this morning. Additional showers and storms moving over the
warned area will continue to enhance ongoing flash flooding.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Wiggins, Perkinston and McHenry.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
