330 PM CDT FOR ST. BERNARD...JEFFERSON AND ORLEANS PARISHES...

AT 147 PM CDT...A CLUSTER OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WAS OVER THE WEST
BANK JEFFERSON PARISH...TRACKING NORTH AT 20 TO 25 MILES AN HOUR.
PERIODS OF HEAVY RAINFALL IS EXPECTED THROUGH 230 PM. THIS CLUSTER WILL
CAUSE NUISANCE STREET ACROSS THE NEW ORLEANS METRO AREA.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

ADDITIONAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 1 TO 2 INCHES ARE POSSIBLE IN
THE ADVISORY AREA.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE ELEVATED LEVELS ON
SMALL CREEKS AND STREAMS...AND PONDING OF WATER IN URBAN AREAS...
HIGHWAYS...STREETS AND UNDERPASSES AS WELL AS OTHER POOR DRAINAGE
AREAS AND LOW LYING SPOTS.

A FLOOD ADVISORY MEANS RIVER OR STREAM FLOWS ARE ELEVATED OR PONDING
OF WATER IN URBAN OR OTHER AREAS IS OCCURRING OR IS IMMINENT.
