* ARROYO AND SMALL STREAM FLOOD ADVISORY FOR...
  EASTERN JEFF DAVIS COUNTY IN SOUTHWESTERN TEXAS...

* UNTIL 530 PM CDT

* AT 235 PM CDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED HEAVY RAIN DUE TO
  THUNDERSTORMS OVER EASTERN JEFF DAVIS COUNTY. THESE AREAS RECEIVED
  AROUND AN INCH OF RAIN EARLIER TODAY...AND WILL LIKELY SEE ANOTHER
  1 TO 2 INCHES OF RAIN THROUGH 5 PM CDT. THEREFORE...ARROYO AND
  SMALL STREAM FLOODING IS EXPECTED IN IN THE ADVISORY AREA.

* SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
  FORT DAVIS...BUFFALO TRAIL SCOUT CAMP...INDIAN LODGE...DAVIS MOUNTAINS
  STATE PARK...MCDONALD OBSERVATORY...FORT DAVIS NATIONAL HISTORICAL
  SITE...STAR MOUNTAIN AND BLACK MOUNTAIN.

 THIS INCLUDES LOW WATER CROSSINGS LOCATIONS SH 118 CROSSING CHERRY
CREEK TRIB AND RR 1832 CROSSING TOYAH CREEK TRIB.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

STAY AWAY OR BE SWEPT AWAY. RIVER BANKS AND CULVERTS CAN BECOME
UNSTABLE AND UNSAFE.

IN HILLY TERRAIN THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF LOW WATER CROSSINGS WHICH ARE
POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS IN HEAVY RAIN. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CROSS FLOODED
ROADS. FIND AN ALTERNATE ROUTE.
