...A FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 130 PM MDT SATURDAY FOR
SOUTHWESTERN PENNINGTON AND NORTHEASTERN CUSTER COUNTIES...

ON RAPID CREEK FROM PACTOLA RESERVOIR TO THE CHEYENNE RIVER...VERY
HIGH STREAMFLOWS ARE BEING OBSERVED WITH MINOR FLOODING IN LOW LYING
AREAS NEAR THE CREEK. SPRING CREEK FROM ABOVE SHERIDAN LAKE TO BELOW
SHERIDAN LAKE...AND ON TO THE CHEYENNE RIVER...ALSO HAS VERY HIGH
STREAMFLOWS WITH MINOR FLOODING IN LOW LYING AREAS NEAR THE CREEK AS
WELL AS AT THE RIVER GAUGE SITE NEAR KEYSTONE.

ADDITIONAL RAINFALL FROM SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS TONIGHT AND
FRIDAY WILL MAINTAIN CURRENT MINOR FLOODING CONDITIONS. SINCE THE
SOIL IS VERY SATURATED...ANY HEAVY RAIN THAT FALLS WILL QUICKLY FLOW
INTO RAPID CREEK AND SPRING CREEK RESULTING IN ADDITIONAL RISES.

SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...RAPID
CITY...HILL CITY...RAPID VALLEY...JOHNSON
SIDING...HISEGA...CAPUTA...FOLSOM...FARMINGDALE...ROCKERVILLE.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS
SAFELY. MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
