...The National Weather Service in Houston/Galveston has issued a flood warning
for the following rivers...

  Navidad River Near Strane Park affecting the following counties in Texas...
  Jackson


For Navidad River at Strane Park, moderate flooding is forecast.

The current weather is dominated by upper level disturbances moving over the
area each day which will continue to support thunderstorm chances each day. This
combined with routed flow from upstream will produce minor to moderate flooding
near Strane Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Persons with interests along these streams should keep alert to rising water and
take all precautions to protect their property. Do not drive or walk into
flooded areas the depth and water velocity could be too great for you to cross
safely. Motorists should avoid any water covered roads and find an alternate
route. Livestock and equipment should be removed from the flood plain
immediately.

The National Weather Service in Houston/Galveston has issued a

* Flood Warning for
  The Navidad River Near Strane Park.
* from late tonight to Friday afternoon...or until the warning is canceled.
* At 10 AM Wednesday the stage was 18.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 24.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage overnight with a
  continued rise to rise to near 26.5 feet by Thursday afternoon.
* At 26.0 feet...Moderate lowland flooding begins threatening livestock and
  property in the river channel. The right approach to the County Road 401
  bridge is closed making travel difficult.
