The National Weather Service in The San Francisco Bay Area has issued
a

* Flood Warning for...
  Central Monterey County in central California...

* Until 1015 PM PST Thursday

* At 116 PM PST, reporting gauge indicates flooding at the Salinas
  River at Soledad. The water level is currently at 18.5 feet which
  is above the flood stage of 18 feet.

* Some locations that may experience flooding include low lying areas
  along the Salinas River at or near Soledad.

* Reservoir releases from Nacimiento have recently been curtailed,
  so flooding may not last long.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. All
interested parties should take necessary precautions immediately.
