Fire Weather Forecast for Northeast and North Central Colorado
National Weather Service Denver/Boulder CO
347 PM MST Sun Feb 19 2017

.DISCUSSION...Tonight and Monday...An upper trough will move
eastward across the forecast area this evening. Northwesterly
flow aloft will move in behind the trough overnight and Monday.
There will be snow in the mountains overnight with a slight
chance of rain showers out on the plains. Northwesterly low
level winds will gust up to 30 mph over the eastern plains
by Monday afternoon. Relative Humidities will get down into
the mid and upper teens, so a few areas will get close to Red
Flag conditions Monday afternoon over the eastern half of the
plains.

LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Monday night through Friday...
Fire Danger will be elevated Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon
for portions of northeast plains, palmer divide and front range
foothills below 8 thousand feet. The combination of above normal
temperatures...low humidities and gusty winds at times. A weather
system and accompanying cold front will bring colder temperatures
along with a chance of precipitation on Thursday and Friday.

...Thunderstorms imply strong gusty erratic winds...
...All surface winds are 20-Foot...10-Minute averaged winds...
...CWR is Chance of Wetting Rain - 0.10 inch or more liquid...
...24 HR Trends are based on averages over the respective zone
groups and may not match the actual forecast values
                    shown in those groups...
