Fire Weather Forecast for Northeast and North Central Colorado
National Weather Service Denver/Boulder CO
442 AM MDT Mon Mar 27 2017

.DISCUSSION...Today and tonight...Moisture will increase over
the mountains this afternoon and across the rest of the area
tonight. Thus there will be a good chance of showers across
the area by tonight with some snow in the mountains. Temperatures
will be warmer today with lower humidity.

LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Tuesday through Friday...A couple storm
systems are forecast to pass over Colorado the upcoming the week.
The first of these systems is expected to pass during the Tuesday-
Wednesday time frame, bringing accumulating snowfall to the high
country and nearby plains, and measurable rainfall to the northeast
plains of the state. Temperatures will be below average during this
period. Then a warmup and dry out on Thursday with a passing high
pressure ridge. Then another storm system, potentially stronger and
colder than its predecessor, is projected to pass over Colorado late
Friday into Saturday. This storm system has the potential to produce
significant precipitation, mainly in the form of snowfall, for the
Front Range mountains as well as the plains. Stay tune for further
updates.

...Thunderstorms imply strong gusty erratic winds...
...All surface winds are 20-Foot...10-Minute averaged winds...
...CWR is Chance of Wetting Rain - 0.10 inch or more liquid...
...24 HR Trends are based on averages over the respective zone
groups and may not match the actual forecast values
                    shown in those groups...
