Fire Weather Forecast for Northeast and North Central Colorado
National Weather Service Denver/Boulder CO
438 AM MDT Tue Apr 25 2017

.DISCUSSION...Today and tonight...An upper level trough will be
over the forecast area with cooler temperatures, higher
humidities, and scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms.
The atmosphere will be somewhat unstable with good to very good
smoke dispersion expected this afternoon. Stronger winds can be
expected behind a cold front late this afternoon and early
evening, with speeds of 25 to 40 mph.

LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Wednesday through Saturday...It will remain
cool and unsettled through the period. One storm system will bring
accumulating snow to the mountains Wednesday night through
Thursday, with a few rain showers and isolated thunderstorms
possible on the plains. Temperatures will turn even colder by
Friday and Saturday with high humidity readings and a chance of
more widespread snowfall. Smoke dispersion should be good to
excellent Wednesday and Thursday, and then be aided by
precipitation Friday into Saturday.

...Thunderstorms imply strong gusty erratic winds...
...All surface winds are 20-Foot...10-Minute averaged winds...
...CWR is Chance of Wetting Rain - 0.10 inch or more liquid...
...24 HR Trends are based on averages over the respective zone
groups and may not match the actual forecast values
                    shown in those groups...
