Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central South Carolina
and East Central Georgia
National Weather Service Columbia SC
239 PM EST Tue Feb 21 2017

.DISCUSSION...High pressure along the East Coast will provide
moist onshore flow across the region. There will be a chance for
showers across the Midlands and CSRA through Wednesday night. The
highest coverage should be across the northern Midlands and the
Upstate. Rainfall amounts will generally be light. Models
suggest less than a tenth of inch during the period. A weak wedge
may develop across the northern Midlands and Upstate Wednesday
keeping mixing heights low in these areas.

Upper level drying will reduce the chance of showers Thursday.
E/SE low level flow will allow for well above normal temperatures
and increasing low level moisture.

Widespread fog is likely tonight with large amounts of low level
moisture present.
