FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR CENTRAL SOUTH CAROLINA
AND EAST CENTRAL GEORGIA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE COLUMBIA SC
417 AM EST SUN FEB 7 2016

.DISCUSSION...
RAIN WILL IMPACT THE EASTERN MIDLANDS AND PEE DEE REGION THIS
MORNING ASSOCIATED WITH A COASTAL LOW. THE RAIN COULD BE MIXED
WITH SLEET OR SNOW THROUGH EARLY MORNING BUT NO ACCUMULATION
OR IMPACTS ARE EXPECTED. PRECIPITATION WILL SHIFT TO THE
EAST THROUGH MIDDAY AND CLEARING WILL OCCUR FROM WEST TO EAST
THIS AFTERNOON AS THE COASTAL LOW LIFTS AWAY FROM THE REGION.

WINDS WILL BE THE BIGGER FACTOR TODAY WITH AN INCREASING
PRESSURE GRADIENT RESULTING IN BREEZY NORTHERLY WINDS WITH
SOME GUSTS TO 25 MPH EXPECTED. COOLER DRIER AIR OVER THE
AREA TONIGHT SHOULD PRECLUDE FOG DEVELOPMENT. ANOTHER UPPER
DISTURBANCE WILL MOVE INTO THE AREA ON MONDAY BRINGING A
LOW CHANCE OF AFTERNOON SHOWERS.
