Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central South Carolina
and East Central Georgia
National Weather Service Columbia SC
328 AM EDT Sat Aug 19 2017

.DISCUSSION...
A weak pressure trough will linger in the forecast area through
Monday. Upper ridging over the region will help keep moisture
shallow and limit the thunderstorm chance. It will remain hot
with heat index values peaking around 100. Mixing heights
will be seasonable with minimum relative humidity values above
30 percent each day. Any fog during the early morning hours will
be mainly confined to a few locations near bodies of water through
Sunday. Fog may be more widespread early Monday morning. Wind will
be light and variable but more predominately west or northwest
around 5 mph today, and east about 5 mph Sunday.
