FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR NORTHERN ALABAMA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HUNTSVILLE AL
222 PM CDT TUE SEP 16 2014

.DISCUSSION...
A FEW ISOLATED SHOWERS OR STORMS ARE POSSIBLE THROUGH LATE THIS
AFTERNOON AND INTO THE EARLY EVENING HOURS, BUT MANY LOCATIONS WILL
REMAIN WARM AND DRY. LOW CLOUDS AND DRIZZLE ARE POSSIBLE ACROSS
THE AREA OVERNIGHT AND INTO EARLY WEDNESDAY MORNING, BUT CONDITIONS
WILL IMPROVE SHORTLY AFTER SUNRISE AS MIXING BEGINS. AFTER THE COLD
FRONT PUSHES SOUTHWARD THROUGH THE AREA, GENERALLY DRY CONDITIONS
ARE EXPECTED THROUGH THE END OF THE WEEK AND INTO THE FIRST
HALF OF THE WEEKEND.

ANOTHER COLD FRONT WILL ARRIVE LATE SUNDAY AND INTO MONDAY, WITH
SHOWERS EXPECTED AS THE FRONT PUSHES THROUGH THE AREA EARLY NEXT
WEEK.

WITH LIGHT AND VARIABLE WINDS IN PLACE THROUGH THE WEEKEND, SMOKE
DISPERSION WILL REMAIN GENERALLY GOOD THROUGH THE PERIOD. MIXING
HEIGHTS WILL IMPROVE EACH DAY, APPROACHING 5,000 FEET BY THURSDAY
AFTERNOON.
