FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR CENTRAL/EASTERN AND SOUTHEASTERN IL
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE LINCOLN IL
259 PM CDT SAT APR 19 2014

.DISCUSSION...
HIGH PRESSURE WILL CONTINUE TO CONTROL OUR WEATHER THROUGH SUNDAY
NIGHT BRINGING QUIET WEATHER CONDITIONS. SOUTHEAST WINDS IN THE 10
TO 15 MPH THE REST OF THIS AFTERNOON WILL DIMINISH WITH SUNSET.
WINDS WILL REMAIN SOUTHEAST THROUGH TOMORROW AS HIGH PRESSURE
GRADUALLY MOVES EAST OF ILLINOIS. VERY DRY AIR THIS AFTERNOON HAS
ALLOWED SOME AREAS TO DROP BELOW 25 PERCENT RH. LUCKILY WINDS ARE
NOT TOO STRONG AND RED FLAG CONDITIONS WILL NOT BE MET.
HOWEVER...FIRE DANGERS COULD BE INCREASED DUE TO THE VERY LOW
HUMIDITIES THE REST OF THE DAY. SURFACE WINDS WILL BECOME SOUTH TO
SOUTHWEST ON EASTER SUNDAY AS LOW PRESSURE DEVELOPS IN THE PLAINS.
WIND SPEEDS SHOULD REMAIN IN THE 10-13 MPH RANGE. MID AFTERNOON
HUMIDITY VALUES SHOULD BE HIGHER THAN TODAY...BETWEEN 30 AND 40
PERCENT. THE NEXT CHANCE FOR RAIN WILL BE ON MONDAY AS A COLD
FRONT APPROACHES THE REGION.
