Fire Weather Planning Forecast For Extreme Southeast Arkansas,
Northeast Louisiana, and Central Mississippi
National Weather Service Jackson MS
347 AM CDT Sat Mar 25 2017

.DISCUSSION...Expect lots of showers and thunderstorms around
the region today, especially across central and eastern areas of
Mississippi where some storms could be strong and produce torrential
downpours. Winds will be from the south and still somewhat
gusty, but in most areas by the afternoon to evening will tend
to turn more out of the southwest. Most of the activity will
move out between late this afternoon into this evening although
a few showers and storms could linger through the overnight across
eastern and southeastern MS. A bit of fog could also be found
late tonight into Sunday morning in these latter areas. Sunday
should be mostly dry before showers and storms move in again
on Monday.
