FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR UPPER MICHIGAN
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MARQUETTE MI
548 AM EDT WED AUG 27 2014

...GENERALLY DRY THROUGH THURSDAY...THEN UNSETTLED WEATHER RETURNS
FOR THURSDAY NIGHT THROUGH MUCH OF THE LABOR DAY WEEKEND...

.DISCUSSION...A DISTURBANCE PASSING ACROSS THE AREA WILL BRING
SCATTERED LIGHT SHOWERS AND SPRINKLES TO MUCH OF UPPER MICHIGAN EARLY
TODAY. SKIES WILL THEN TURN MOSTLY SUNNY WITH RELATIVE HUMIDITY
FALLING TO BETWEEN 40 AND 55 PERCENT THIS AFTERNOON. SIMILAR
CONDITIONS ARE ANTICIPATED FOR THURSDAY. A SERIES OF DISTURBANCES
WILL THEN TRACK NORTHEAST INTO THE GREAT LAKES...BRINGING THE
POTENTIAL FOR SHOWERS FROM THURSDAY NIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY NIGHT. THE
BEST CHANCES OF RAIN WILL BE OVER THE SOUTHEAST HALF OF UPPER
MICHIGAN. WHILE PRECIPITATION WILL LIKELY DEPART FOR SUNDAY...A COLD
FRONT WILL BRING ANOTHER ROUND OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ON LABOR
DAY...ESPECIALLY LATE.
