Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Eastern Washington and North Idaho
National Weather Service Spokane WA
243 PM PDT Thu Jun 22 2017

.DISCUSSION...

A ridge of high pressure will build in over the region and result
in a warming trend Friday through Monday. The atmosphere will
remain very dry through the weekend and will be unstable Sunday
as a thermal pressure trough crosses the Cascades. This will also
increase gap winds for Monday afternoon resulting in a hot, dry
and gusty afternoon in the Cascades valleys and the Columbia
Basin. Dry and windy conditions are expected for Tuesday.

Forecasts for 20 foot wind speeds (valleys and ridge tops) are
