Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
253 PM MST Sun Dec 17 2017

.Discussion...

Dry weather and above normal temperatures will return for Monday
through Wednesday with increasing winds and a few areas of near
critical fire weather conditions on Wednesday.

A storm system is then expected to impact the mountains with snow
Wednesday night, before spreading into the southeast mountains and
plains on Thursday. Some light to moderate snow accumulations will
be possible for the mountain areas with light snow possible across
portions of the I-25 corridor and southeast plains through Thursday
night. Temperatures will fall to below normal for Thursday and Friday
with significantly colder conditions expected next weekend as a strong
cold front moves through. Some additional light snow will be possible
on Saturday across the plains.

Afternoon smoke dispersion will stay in the fair to poor range at
most locations Monday and Tuesday as transport winds will be
fairly light.

--- thunderstorms imply strong gusty and erratic winds ---
