FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR WEST VIRGINIA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE CHARLESTON WV
1041 PM EDT FRI AUG 29 2014

.DISCUSSION...
SCATTERED SHOWERS AND STORMS FORMING IN SOUTHWEST VIRGINIA AND
SOUTHEAST KENTUCKY...WILL MOVE INTO THE TUG FORK VALLEY LATER THIS
EVENING...ALL THANKS TO A WARM FRONT. THESE WILL DIMINISH SOMEWHAT
AFTER SUNSET...BUT THEN REFIRE OVERNIGHT...AS THEY MOVE NORTHEAST
THROUGH WEST VIRGINIA AND SOUTHEAST OHIO.

THE WARM FRONT LIFTS NORTH OF THE AREA SATURDAY MORNING...LEAVING A
MOSTLY RAIN FREE...BUT HOT AND MORE HUMID DAY. AN AFTERNOON
THUNDERSTORM IS STILL POSSIBLE IN THE NORTHERN WEST VIRGINIA
MOUNTAINS SATURDAY.

TROPICAL LIKE MOISTURE WILL INCREASE SATURDAY NIGHT AND PARTICULARLY
ON SUNDAY...AHEAD OF AN UPPER LEVEL TROUGH. AS A RESULT...SHOWERS
AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO BE MUCH MORE WIDESPREAD. A LESSER
CHANCE OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE ON LABOR DAY AS
ANOTHER UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE MOVES INTO THE AREA.
