.DISCUSSION...

A wave of low pressure will develop over the eastern Carolinas
today and move northeast off the DelMarVa tonight. A period of
rain will be likely with this storm, mainly south of Interstate
66 in Virginia and US Route 50 in Maryland.

There will be a lull late tonight into Wednesday morning. A
larger area of low pressure aloft will bring another period of
showers and a few thunderstorms Wednesday night into early
Thursday. Yet another round of showers and a few thunderstorms
will be likely Thursday afternoon and evening as the low pivots
directly overhead. Dry weather will return Friday.

Low clouds and visibility may be a concern through Thursday
morning; otherwise clouds should be around or above 1000 feet
above the ridge line. West winds will increase Friday behind
the cold front, with potential for gusts in the 25-35 mph range,
depending on how exposed your location is to the west/northwest.
