.DISCUSSION...

FORECAST MODELS CONTINUE TO SHOW A DRIER PERIOD IN STORE FOR WEDNESDAY
AND THURSDAY. A DRIER AIRMASS SHOULD RESULT IN FEWER STORMS OF LESS
INTENSITY ON THESE 2 DAYS.

FRIDAY THROUGH THE WEEKEND...THERE WILL PROBABLY BE A SLIGHT UPTICK
IN STORM ACTIVITY...ALTHOUGH MOST OF THE INFLUX OF MOISTURE WILL
PROBABLY BE WELL EAST OF THE BURN SCAR...OUT ACROSS THE FAR
EASTERN COLORADO PLAINS. THE MODELS SHOW A BIT OF AN INCREASE IN
MONSOONAL MOISTURE OVER THE BURN SCAR DURING THIS PERIOD...BUT NOT
A REAL GREAT INCREASE.

NEXT WEEK COULD GET INTERESTING. MODELS ARE SHOWING A CONSIDERABLE
INFLUX OF MONSOON MOISTURE OVER THE MOUNTAINS WHICH SHOULD RESULT IN
MUCH MORE WIDESPREAD SHOWER AND STORM ACTIVITY STARTING MONDAY AND
BEYOND. DEPENDING ON HOW THINGS ACTUALLY UNFOLD...THERE MAY BE SOME
HEAVY RAIN AND FLASH FLOOD CONCERNS AT THAT TIME.
