.DISCUSSION...

...BREEZY CONDITIONS AND LOW HUMIDITY EXPECTED AGAIN TODAY...

DRY NORTHWEST WINDS PREVENTED MUCH RELATIVE HUMIDITY RECOVERY OVERNIGHT...
LEAVING FINE FUELS QUITE DRY. ABUNDANT SUNSHINE AND CONTINUED GUSTY
NORTHWEST WINDS..ESPECIALLY EARLY IN THE DAY...AS HIGH PRESSURE CONTINUES
TO APPROACH FROM THE NORTHWEST WILL ALLOW AFTERNOON RELATIVE HUMIDITY VALUES
TO ONCE AGAIN BOTTOM OUT BETWEEN 15 AND 20 PERCENT. WINDS WILL NOT BE QUITE
AS STRONG TODAY AS COMPARED TO THURSDAY...WITH SUSTAINED SPEEDS 10 TO 12 MPH
AND GUSTS INTO THE 18 TO 22 MPH RANGE...UNTIL LATE AFTERNOON WHEN WINDS SHOULD
BEGIN TO DIMINISH TO 10 MPH OR LESS.

HIGH CLOUDS WILL BUILD IN TONIGHT...WITH WETTING RAINFALL BECOMING
WIDESPREAD ACROSS THE AREA BY LATE MORNING SATURDAY...AS A LOW
PRESSURE SYSTEM PASSES EAST ACROSS THE CENTRAL APPALACHIANS. RAINFALL
WILL ALSO HOLD TEMPERATURES WELL BELOW NORMAL ON SATURDAY...WITH HIGHS
MAINLY IN THE 50S.
