THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF SOUTHWEST
IOWA...WEST CENTRAL IOWA...EAST CENTRAL NEBRASKA...NORTHEAST
NEBRASKA AND SOUTHEAST NEBRASKA.

.DAY ONE...TONIGHT AND THURSDAY

Rain may change to snow through the day in northeast Nebraska.
Meanwhile, there will be a chance of thunderstorm in southeast
Nebraska and southwest Iowa Thursday afternoon.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY NIGHT THROUGH WEDNESDAY

A major winter storm will impact the region Thursday night into
Friday. Moderate to heavy snow is expected in northeast Nebraska
with 6 to 12 inches or more expected. Along Interstate 80, amounts
will be significantly lower, from 1 to 2 inches. Just a dusting is
expected farther south near the Kansas border. Strong winds of 20
to 40 mph will also accompany the snow, which may create winter
storm and possibly near blizzard conditions late Thursday night
into Friday. As a result, a winter storm warning is now in effect
for northeast Nebraska, and a winter storm watch was issued for a
few more counties southeast of that area. This late winter storm
has the potential to create significant travel problems Thursday
into Friday.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be needed tonight or Friday.
