  MICHIGAN CITY IN TO NEW BUFFALO MI...
  NEW BUFFALO MI TO ST JOSEPH MI...

AT 1245 AM EDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED STRONG THUNDERSTORMS...
CAPABLE OF PRODUCING WINDS TO AROUND 30 KNOTS. THESE THUNDERSTORMS
WERE LOCATED ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM 20 NM WEST OF THE ST.
JOSEPH LIGHT TO 44 NM SOUTH OF WINTHROP HARBOR...MOVING EAST AT 30
KNOTS. OTHER STORMS WERE DEVELOPING AHEAD OF THE LINE...ALSO MOVING
EAST AT 30 KNOTS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

MARINERS CAN EXPECT GUSTY WINDS TO AROUND 30 KNOTS...LOCALLY HIGHER
