ONLY A FEW SHOWERS ARE LEFT IN THE ATLANTIC WATERS AS OF 4 PM
AST. THESE SHOWERS WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE WEST NORTHWEST. ONLY
LIMITED ACTIVITY IS EXPECTED FOR THE REST OF THE LATE AFTERNOON
AND EARLY EVENING. AN ISOLATED LIGHTNING STRIKE IS STILL POSSIBLE.

SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS PERSIST OVER THE WESTERN WATERS OF
PUERTO RICO. FREQUENT CLOUD-TO-GROUND LIGHTNING IS STILL BEING
OBSERVED OVER THE WATERS 40 TO 63 MILES SOUTH OF CABO ROJO AND
ABOUT 30 TO 35 MILES WEST OF MAYAGUEZ. THE THUNDERSTORMS SOUTH OF
CABO ROJO WERE MOVING WEST NORTHWEST AT ABOUT 24 KNOTS. THOSE WEST
OF MAYAGUEZ WERE MOVING WEST AT JUST BELOW 20 KNOTS. ISOLATED
THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE WELL INTO THE NIGHT
AS THE TROPICAL WAVE APPROACHES.
