AT 240 PM PDT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR WAS
INDICATING SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS DEVELOPING OVER THE EASTERN
SAN GABRIEL MOUNTAINS AND MOVING NORTHWESTWARD ACROSS THE ANTELOPE
VALLEY AT ABOUT 15 MPH. THESE THUNDERSTORMS WERE PRODUCING
OCCASIONAL CLOUD-TO-GROUND LIGHTNING STRIKES AND RAINFALL RATES OF
A QUARTER OF AN INCH TO A HALF AN INCH PER HOUR. LOCALIZED
FLOODING OF ROADWAYS WILL BE POSSIBLE WITH THESE STORMS IF THEY
INTENSIFY. ADDITIONAL SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS MAY DEVELOP AND
RE-DEVELOP THIS AFTERNOON AND THIS EVENING.
