...DENSE FOG SLOWLY CLEARING IN FAR NORTHEAST COLORADO...

Fog was lifting over much of northeastern Colorado at 8 am, but
was slower to clear in the South Platte river valley and along
Interstate 76 between Sterling and Ogallala. The fog extends
into Nebraska affecting Chappell and Ogallala and areas north of
there, but had cleared around North Platte. The fog will continue
to erode over the next hour or two, with clearing in northeast
Colorado and along Interstate 80 in Nebraska likely by 10 am.
Areas further north of Ogallala and North Platte may take another
hour or two to clear.

...DENSE FOG ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM MDT THIS MORNING...

The National Weather Service in Denver has issued a Dense Fog
Advisory, which is in effect until 10 AM MDT this morning.

* VISIBILITY...Around 1/4 mile in the South Platte valley from
  Sterling east into Nebraska and also in the Holyoke area.

* IMPACTS...Poor visibility will create hazardous travel
  conditions. Be alert for sudden drops in visibility and highly
  variable traffic speeds.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Dense Fog Advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving...slow down...
use your headlights...and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
