THROUGH THE EVENING...

.A STRONG COLD FRONT WILL IMPACT THE NORTHWEST PART OF THE AREA
LATE THIS AFTERNOON...AND WILL MOVE SOUTH THE REMAINDER OF THE
AREA BEFORE MIDNIGHT. THE FRONT WILL PRODUCE STRONG WINDS AND
BLOWING DUST. VISIBILITIES ARE EXPECTED TO FALL BELOW ONE MILE AT
TIMES AND COULD BE LOWER.

ADVISORY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO 1 AM CDT
THURSDAY.

* TIMING...WINDS WILL STEADILY INCREASE THROUGH THE AFTERNOON WITH
  THE STRONGEST WINDS OCCURRING BETWEEN 6 PM AND 10 PM CDT.

* WINDS...NORTHWEST 25 TO 40 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 50 MPH.

* IMPACTS...AREAS OF BLOWING DUST WILL OCCUR NEAR DRY FIELDS.
  DRIVING HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES WILL BE DIFFICULT.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WIND ADVISORY MEANS THAT STRONG AND GUSTY WINDS MAY AFFECT
TRAVEL...ESPECIALLY LIGHT WEIGHT OR HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES. BE
PREPARED FOR SUDDEN WIND GUSTS WHICH MAY RESULT IN LOSS OF
VEHICLE CONTROL.

* PEAK WINDS...SUSTAINED NORTH TO NORTHWEST WINDS OF 30 TO 40
  MPH WITH GUSTS TO 55 MPH ARE EXPECTED. A FEW GUSTS OVER 55 MPH
  CAN NOT BE RULED OUT.

* TIMING/DURATION...BLOWING DUST IS EXPECTED TO ENTER YUMA COUNTY
  AROUND 5 PM MDT AND QUICKLY MOVE SOUTH THROUGH THE REST OF THE
  ADVISORY AREA THROUGH MIDNIGHT MDT (1 AM CDT).

* OTHER IMPACTS...BLOWING DUST MAY REDUCE VISIBILITIES SUDDENLY
  TO NEAR ZERO...ESPECIALLY IN AREAS WHERE PLOWED FIELDS EXIST.
  MOTORISTS SHOULD DRIVE CAREFULLY THROUGH AREAS OF LOW
  VISIBILITIES. IF YOU SEE AN ADVANCING WALL OF DUST DO NOT
  DRIVE THROUGH IT IF AT ALL POSSIBLE.

A BLOWING DUST ADVISORY MEANS THAT BLOWING DUST WILL OCCASIONALLY
RESTRICT VISIBILITY TO LESS THAN ONE MILE. TRAVELERS ARE URGED TO
USE CAUTION AND BE ALERT TO RAPIDLY CHANGING VISIBILITY...
ESPECIALLY NEAR OPEN FIELDS.
