...DENSE FOG ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM CDT THIS MORNING...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN HUNTSVILLE HAS ISSUED A DENSE FOG
ADVISORY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM CDT THIS MORNING.

* TIMING AND AREAS AFFECTED...UNTIL 9 AM CDT THIS MORNING FOR
  MADISON, MARSHALL, JACKSON, AND DEKALB COUNTIES IN NORTH ALABAMA.

* VISIBILITY...DENSE FOG WILL BE MOST PREVALENT NEAR LARGE BODIES OF
  WATER SUCH AS LAKE GUNTERSVILLE...AND IN VALLEYS SUCH AS THE
  TENNESSEE, PAINT ROCK AND DEKALB. VISIBILITY IN THESE AREAS WILL
  RANGE FROM 0 TO 1 MILE. ACROSS THE REMAINING PORTION OF THE
  ADVISORY AREA...VISIBILITY WILL GENERALLY BE IN THE 2 TO 4 MILE
  RANGE.

* IMPACTS...REDUCED VISIBILITY FROM FOG WILL MAKE FOR HAZARDOUS
  TRAVELING CONDITIONS IN THE ADVISORY AREA THIS MORNING. THIS WILL
  BE ESPECIALLY TRUE ALONG MAJOR HIGHWAYS, SUCH AS HIGHWAY 431,
  HIGHWAY 72, AND INTERSTATE 59.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A DENSE FOG ADVISORY MEANS VISIBILITIES WILL FREQUENTLY BE REDUCED TO
LESS THAN ONE QUARTER MILE. IF DRIVING...SLOW DOWN...USE YOUR
HEADLIGHTS...AND LEAVE PLENTY OF DISTANCE AHEAD OF YOU.
