.THE POOLING OF GULF MOISTURE NEAR THE SURFACE AHEAD OF A COLD
FRONT...WILL ALLOW FOR VERY MUGGY CONDITIONS. OFFSHORE WINDS WILL
ALSO ALLOW TEMPERATURES TO RISE INTO THE MID TO UPPER 90S. THE
COMBINATION OF THE HIGH TEMPERATURES AND HIGH HUMIDITY WILL LEAD
TO POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS HEAT INDEX READINGS BETWEEN 109 AND 112

ADVISORY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM CDT THIS EVENING.

* TEMPERATURE...94 TO 98 DEGREES WITH HEAT INDEX VALUES FROM 109
  TO 112 DEGREES.

* IMPACTS...DANGEROUS HEAT INDEX VALUES THAT COULD LEAD TO HEAT
  RELATED ILLNESSES.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A HEAT ADVISORY MEANS THAT A PERIOD OF HOT TEMPERATURES IS
EXPECTED. THE COMBINATION OF HOT TEMPERATURES AND HIGH HUMIDITY
WILL COMBINE TO CREATE A SITUATION IN WHICH HEAT ILLNESSES ARE
POSSIBLE. DRINK PLENTY OF FLUIDS...STAY IN AN AIR-CONDITIONED
ROOM...STAY OUT OF THE SUN...AND CHECK UP ON RELATIVES AND
NEIGHBORS.
