THE MIDDLE TO UPPER 90S...AND COMBINED WITH HIGH HUMIDITY
LEVELS...WILL PRODUCE THE HIGH HEAT INDEX VALUES. A HEAT ADVISORY

ADVISORY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 1 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 7 PM
CDT THIS EVENING.

* EVENT...HEAT INDEX VALUES WILL REACH 105 TO NEAR 110 DEGREES.

* AREAS AFFECTED...MUCH OF NORTHERN...CENTRAL AND EASTERN ARKANSAS.

* TIMING...HEAT INDEX VALUES WILL PEAK BETWEEN 1 PM CDT TO 7 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...THE COMBINATION OF HOT TEMPERATURES AND HIGH HUMIDITY
  WILL CREATE A SITUATION IN WHICH HEAT RELATED ILLNESSES ARE
  POSSIBLE.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A HEAT ADVISORY MEANS THAT A PERIOD OF HOT TEMPERATURES IS
EXPECTED. THE COMBINATION OF HOT TEMPERATURES AND HIGH HUMIDITY
WILL COMBINE TO CREATE A SITUATION IN WHICH HEAT ILLNESSES ARE
POSSIBLE. WHEN POSSIBLE...RESCHEDULE STRENUOUS ACTIVITIES TO EARLY
MORNING OR EVENING. KNOW THE SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS OF HEAT EXHAUSTION
AND HEAT STROKE. DRINK PLENTY OF FLUIDS...STAY IN AN AIR-
CONDITIONED ROOM...STAY OUT OF THE SUN...AND CHECK UP ON
RELATIVES...NEIGHBORS AND OUT DOOR PETS.
