A WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR ESMERALDA AND CENTRAL NYE
COUNTIES UNTIL 7 PM PST THIS EVENING.

* WINDS: NORTHWEST AT 20 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS TO AROUND 45 MPH.
  LOCALLY HIGHER GUSTS ARE POSSIBLE IN NORMALLY WIND PRONE
  LOCATIONS. AT 10 AM PST...WINDS WERE GUSTING UP TO 50 MPH ON THE
  NEVADA NATIONAL SECURITY SITE...AND TO 38 MPH AT TONOPAH.

* TIMING: WINDS WILL PEAK THIS AFTERNOON AND THEN DECREASE THIS
  EVENING.

* LOCATIONS: BEATTY...GOLDFIELD...SILVER PEAK...DYER

* IMPACTS: STRONG WINDS WILL MAKE TRAVEL DIFFICULT ESPECIALLY ON
  HIGHWAY 95 FROM NEAR TONOPAH TO BEATTY. AREAS OF BLOWING SAND AND
  DUST MAY REDUCE VISIBILITY. LOOSE OBJECTS LEFT OUTSIDE MAY BE
  BLOWN AWAY INCLUDING CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WIND ADVISORY MEANS THAT CROSSWINDS ARE EXPECTED TO BE STRONG
ENOUGH TO MAKE DRIVING DIFFICULT...ESPECIALLY FOR HIGH PROFILE
VEHICLES. IN ADDITION...STRONG WINDS OVER DESERT AREAS COULD RESULT
IN BRIEFLY LOWERED VISIBILITIES TO WELL UNDER A MILE AT TIMES IN
BLOWING DUST OR BLOWING SAND. USE EXTRA CAUTION.
