DISCUSSION:

DRY WEATHER WILL CONTINUE INTO FRIDAY MORNING AS WEAK HIGH PRESSURE
BUILDS IN ACROSS THE AREA, THEN ANOTHER STORM SYSTEM, ALBEIT WEAKER
THAN EARLIER, WILL APPROACH THE AREA. SHOWERS OR LIGHT RAIN COULD
IMPACT NORTHWESTERN SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY AS SOON AS LATE FRIDAY
MORNING. A COLD FRONT WILL SPREAD RAIN INTO THE CENTRAL COAST BY
FRIDAY NIGHT, THEN SPREAD SOUTH AND EAST INTO SATURDAY. THE FRONT
WILL WEAKEN AS IT MOVES SOUTH AND EAST AND PRECIPITATION COULD BE
MORE SHOWERY IN NATURE BY THE TIME THE FRONT MAKES IT INTO LOS
ANGELES COUNTY. PRECIPITATION AMOUNTS WILL RANGE FROM A TENTH OF AN
INCH OR LESS SOUTH OF POINT CONCEPTION UP TO A QUARTER TO A HALF
INCH NORTH OF POINT CONCEPTION. LOCAL AMOUNTS UP TO THREE-QUARTERS
OF AN INCH CANNOT BE RULED OUT FOR THE SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY
COASTAL RANGES. SNOW LEVELS WILL BE HIGH, ABOVE 7000 FEET FOR THE
MOST PART, EXCEPT LOWERING TO 6000 TO 6500 FEET ON SATURDAY MORNING.
ANY SNOW AMOUNTS SHOULD BE TWO INCHES OR LESS.
