...UPDATED RECORD DAILY RAINFALL AT FORT MYERS - PAGE FIELD TODAY...

AS OF 10 AM EDT, FORT MYERS - PAGE FIELD HAS SET A NEW DAILY RAINFALL
RECORD FOR APRIL 23 OF 2.10 INCHES. THIS BREAKS THE OLD RECORD OF
1.78 INCHES SET IN 1935. THE RAIN HAS BEGUN TO DISSIPATE...BUT A FEW
MORE SHOWERS AND POSSIBLY A THUNDERSTORM ARE STILL POSSIBLE THROUGH
TONIGHT. AN INTERESTING FACT IS THAT FROM OCTOBER 1 2016 TO APRIL 22
2017 FMY ONLY SAW 5.77 INCHES OF RAIN AND 1.62 INCHES OF THIS FELL
ON OCTOBER 3 2016.

ALSO THROUGH 10 AM EDT, SOUTHWEST INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT HAS REPORTED
3.76 INCHES OF RAIN SINCE MIDNIGHT. AT RSW FROM OCTOBER 1 2016 TO
APRIL 22 2017 ONLY 4.16 INCHES OF RAIN FELL AND 1.10 INCHES OF THIS
OCCURRED ON OCTOBER 3 2016. DAILY RECORDS ARE NOT KEPT FOR THIS
LOCATION SINCE THEY ONLY GO BACK TO 1998.
