...ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS LIKELY ACROSS THE SOUTH
COASTAL PLAINS OF PUERTO RICO...

A GENERALLY DRY AND STABLE PATTERN WILL PREVAIL ACROSS THE LOCAL
ISLANDS TODAY. AS A RESULT...RELATIVE HUMIDITIES ARE FORECAST TO
DIMINISH AROUND 40-45 PERCENT IN CAMP SANTIAGO AND 45-50 PERCENT
IN CABO ROJO FOR ONE OR TWO HOURS EARLY THIS AFTERNOON. 20 FT
WINDS WILL PREVAIL AROUND 10-15 MPH AT MOST OF THE SITES. THIS
WILL RESULT IN ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS IN SOME AREAS
ALONG THE SOUTHERN COASTAL PLAINS OF PUERTO RICO.

FIRE AND EMERGENCY OFFICIALS SHOULD BE AWARE THAT WEATHER
CONDITIONS ARE BECOMING MORE CONDUCIVE FOR THE IGNITION AND
SPREAD OF WILDFIRES.

FIRE DANGER STATEMENTS ARE ISSUED WHEN FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS
ARE APPROACHING...BUT NOT MEETING OR EXCEEDING...RED FLAG WARNING
