DAILY RIVER AND LAKE SUMMARY
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE COLUMBIA SC
1044 AM EDT FRI SEP 4 2015

...All river forecast points are expected to remain below flood stage...

High pressure centered north of the forecast area continues to keep the
region relatively dry this morning...with a change in the pattern
expected to slowly evolve. A back door cold front dropping into our
region will interact with the subtropical airmass present over the
weekend. As a result showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected
to become more widespread through the region. 72-hour QPF forecast
guidance currently indicate less than half an inch across the Midlands
and CSRA with higher amounts possible in mountain headwaters of the
Savannah, Broad, Elloree and Saluda basins. Main hydrological impacts
will be localized flooding in urban and small stream basins near and
in thunderstorm cores. All major rivers are expected to remain below
flood stage.
