Daily River And Lake Summary
National Weather Service Columbia Sc
1217 PM EDT Thu Jun 22 2017

...All River Forecast Points were below Flood Stage this morning...

Rainfall during the past 24 hours varied considerably across the
forecast area from no rain to around one inch. Weak convergence
boundaries will be present through early this evening along with
abundant atmospheric moisture. These factors will help support
scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms. Additional rain
amounts of one-half inch or less are expected overall, even though
any thunderstorm which develops could produce heavier rainfall.

Normal daytime heating will help trigger at least widely scattered
late-day showers and thunderstorms Friday and Saturday, although
the atmosphere will be somewhat drier.

Abundant rainfall of the past few days over portions of the upper
Wateree and Pee Dee River basins has produced moderate rises
downstream. However, both rivers are expected to drop again during
the next few days. Other area rivers will have minor fluctuations
through Saturday.
