HYDROLOGIC STATEMENT

...The National Weather Service in the San Francisco Bay Area has
issued a Hydrologic Statement for the following river forecast
locations in California...

  Pajaro River A Chittenden affecting Monterey...San Benito...Santa
  Clara and Santa Cruz Counties

.Widespread moderate to heavy rain across the Pajaro River basin
late Sunday night and Monday resulted in significant rises on
the Pajaro River. Runoff from rain that has already fallen across
the basin, and from additional rainfall overnight, will case
further rises on the river. The Pajaro River at Chittenden is
forecast to crest about a three feet below flood stage early
Tuesday afternoon.

* Forecast information for the Pajaro River A Chittenden
* The Pajaro River A Chittenden to rise above Monitor Stage.
* At 10:00 PM Monday the stage was...22.7 feet
* No flooding is forecast.
* MONITOR STAGE is 25.0 feet, FLOOD STAGE is 32.0 feet.
* This river is Forecast to fluctuate near 22.5 FT through late
  Monday night then forecast to rise above monitor stage of 25.0 FT
  early Tuesday morning then forecast to crest near 29.0 FT early
  Tuesday afternoon. The river is then forecast to recede to near
  28.0 FT late Tuesday evening.
* At 29.5 feet...Parts of State Highway 129 between US Highway 101
  and Watsonville will flood. The entire Pajaro River will have
  moderate bank erosion and sediment deposition.
