THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE IS TRANSMITTED AT THE REQUEST OF THE
COLORADO AVALANCHE INFORMATION CENTER.

THE COLORADO AVALANCHE INFORMATION CENTER IS ISSUING A SPECIAL
AVALANCHE ADVISORY FOR GRAND MESA, ASPEN, AND SAWATCH FORECAST
ZONES THROUGH TUESDAY MORNING.

THESE AREAS HAVE SEEN CONSISTENT SNOWFALL OVER THE LAST FIVE DAYS.
MORE SNOW AND WIND IS FORECAST OVER THE NEXT TWO DAYS. THE AVALANCHE
DANGER IS STEADILY RISING AND BACKCOUNTRY TRAVELERS SHOULD USE EXTRA
CAUTION OVER THE NEXT TWO DAYS. HUMAN TRIGGERED AVALANCHES ARE
LIKELY AND THE DANGER OF SPONTANEOUS AVALANCHES WILL INCREASE IN
WIND EXPOSED AREAS. AVALANCHE CONDITIONS COULD CHANGE RAPIDLY DURING
PERIODS OF HEAVY SNOWFALL OR AREAS WITH STRONG WINDS.

THIS STATEMENT IS OF PARTICULAR INTEREST TO PERSONS USING THE
BACKCOUNTRY OUTSIDE DEVELOPED SKI AREA BOUNDARIES.
