...STRONG AND GUSTY WEST WINDS THIS AFTERNOON...

WEST WINDS GUSTING 30 TO 40 MPH WILL OCCUR ACROSS THE HIGHER
TERRAIN AND OPEN COUNTRY AREAS OF SOUTHEAST MINNESOTA AND
NORTHEAST IOWA THIS AFTERNOON. DRIVERS SHOULD BE ALERT FOR THESE
GUSTY WINDS...ESPECIALLY IF DRIVING LIGHT-WEIGHT OR HIGH PROFILE
VEHICLES ON NORTH-SOUTH ROADS. THESE GUSTY WINDS MAY ALSO BRING
DOWN BRANCHES THAT ARE WEAK OR HAVE BEEN DAMAGED BY EARLIER
STORMS.

THE WINDS WILL BEGIN TO DIMINISH LATE THIS AFTERNOON...THEN BE
MOSTLY 10 TO 15 MPH BY SUNSET.
