...MUCH COLDER WEATHER IS HEADED FOR WEST TEXAS AND SOUTHEAST NEW
MEXICO WITH THE ARRIVAL OF AN ARCTIC COLD FRONT WEDNESDAY
AFTERNOON...

EVEN THOUGH IT HAS BEEN COLD THE LAST FEW DAYS, MUCH COLDER
TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH FRIDAY. AN
ARCTIC COLD FRONT WILL MOVE INTO THE PERMIAN BASIN NORTH OF
INTERSTATE 20 WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON, THEN THROUGH THE REMAINDER OF THE
AREA WEDNESDAY NIGHT. ARCTIC COLD FRONTS FREQUENTLY ARRIVE EARLIER
THAN LATER, AND IF THIS OCCURS, TEMPERATURES WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON
WILL FALL ACROSS THE NORTHERN PERMIAN BASIN. BY THURSDAY MORNING,
LOWS WILL RANGE FROM THE UPPER TEENS IN NORTHERN LEA COUNTY TO THE
UPPER 20S AROUND FT STOCKTON. THURSDAY AFTERNOON, HIGH TEMPERATURES
ARE NOT FORECAST TO CLIMB OUT OF THE 30S IN MOST AREAS, EXCEPT ALONG
THE RIO GRANDE. FRIDAY MORNING WILL BE EVEN COLDER THAN THURSDAY
MORNING, SO PREPARE YOUR PLANTS, PIPES AND PETS FOR THE COLD
WEATHER.
