...SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ALERT FOR GOGEBIC AND ONTONAGON COUNTIES UNTIL
1215 AM CDT/115 AM EDT/...

AT 1010 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR WAS TRACKING
HEAVY RAIN SHOWERS WITH EMBEDDED THUNDERSTORMS ALONG A LINE
EXTENDING FROM UPSON TO 25 MILES WEST OF PARK FALLS TO 48 MILES WEST
OF PHILLIPS...OR ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM 16 MILES WEST OF
IRONWOOD TO 25 MILES WEST OF PARK FALLS TO 52 MILES SOUTHWEST OF
PARK FALLS.  THESE STORMS WERE MOVING NORTHEAST AT 40 MPH.

WINDS UP TO 30 MPH AND HEAVY DOWNPOURS ARE EXPECTED WITH THESE
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS.

RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 0.50 TO 1.00 INCH ARE POSSIBLE OVER WESTERN
GOGEBIC AND ONTONAGON COUNTIES AS THE LINE OF HEAVY SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS MOVES OVER THE AREA. THE HEAVY RAIN MAY RESULT IN
BRIEF RUNOFF PROBLEMS AND PONDING OF WATER ON AREA ROADWAYS.
