AT 825 PM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A
STRONG THUNDERSTORM 10 MILES SOUTH OF LINWOOD...OR 13 MILES SOUTH OF
LEXINGTON...MOVING EAST AT 20 MPH.

HEAVY RAIN... HAIL UP TO THE SIZE OF PEAS AND WIND GUSTS UP TO 40
MPH WILL BE POSSIBLE WITH THIS STORM.

DENTON...HIGH ROCK LAKE MARINA & CAMPGROUND...NC WILDLIFE ACCESS BOAT
LAUNCH...HIGH ROCK BOAT DOCK MARINA...NEWSOM...HIGH ROCK LAKE AND
HIGH ROCK.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

SEEK SHELTER IN A NEARBY BUILDING OR VEHICLE. WIND GUSTS AS HIGH AS
40 MPH ARE CAPABLE OF KNOCKING DOWN TREE LIMBS AND BLOWING AROUND
TRASH CANS...POTTED PLANTS...LAWN FURNITURE AND OTHER LIGHT OUTDOOR
OBJECTS.

LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN WILL QUICKLY REDUCE VISIBILITY AND RESULT IN
PONDING OF WATER ON ROADWAYS. DRIVERS ARE URGED TO SLOW DOWN AND USE
EXTRA CAUTION TO AVOID HYDROPLANING.
