...ANOTHER ROUND OF WINTRY WEATHER EXPECTED TUESDAY NIGHT AND
WEDNESDAY...

AFTER A RELATIVELY WARM DAY ON TUESDAY...ANOTHER ROUND OF WINTRY
WEATHER IS EXPECTED TO AFFECT SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS AND THE MISSOURI
OZARKS TUESDAY NIGHT AND WEDNESDAY.

A STRONG COLD FRONT WILL SWEEP ACROSS THE REGION TUESDAY
EVENING...WITH RAIN EXPECTED TO CHANGE OVER TO A MIX OF
RAIN...SLEET...SNOW...AND FREEZING RAIN TUESDAY NIGHT...BEFORE
CHANGING OVER TO ALL SNOW. SNOW WILL THEN CONTINUE FOR MUCH OF THE
DAY ON WEDNESDAY...ESPECIALLY ALONG AND SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 44.

CURRENT INDICATIONS ARE FOR TWO TO FIVE INCHES OF SNOW TO FALL
ACROSS AREAS SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 44...WITH THE HEAVIEST AMOUNTS ALONG
AND SOUTH OF A BRANSON TO SALEM LINE. ACROSS THE INTERSTATE 44
CORRIDOR...ONE TO THREE INCHES OF SNOW WILL BE POSSIBLE...WITH
AMOUNTS OF AN INCH OR LESS CURRENTLY EXPECTED OVER CENTRAL
MISSOURI. SEVERAL BANDS OF MODERATE TO HEAVY SNOW ARE EXPECTED TO
FORM OVER SOUTHERN MISSOURI ON WEDNESDAY...MAKING BOTH LOCALLY HIGHER
AND LOWER AMOUNTS LIKELY...DEPENDING ON WHERE THESE BANDS DEVELOP.

IT SHOULD ALSO BE NOTED THAT A SHARP GRADIENT TO SNOWFALL IS
EXPECTED ALONG THE NORTHERN EDGE OF THE STORM...MEANING THAT A SHIFT
IN STORM TRACK OF JUST 20 OR 30 MILES COULD RESULT IN SIGNIFICANT
CHANGES TO FORECAST SNOW AMOUNTS. PLEASE CHECK BACK OFTEN TO THE
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE AND LOCAL MEDIA FOR UPDATED FORECASTS
LEADING UP TO THIS EVENT.
