...WINTER RETURNS TO WEST CENTRAL TEXAS WITH A LITTLE LIGHT SNOW
POSSIBLE ACROSS THE WESTERN BIG COUNTRY AND WESTERN CONCHO
VALLEY BY SUNRISE...

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW...
1. RAIN WILL BECOME MORE WIDESPREAD OVERNIGHT. IT MAY BECOME COLD
ENOUGH FOR THE RAIN TO MIX WITH SNOW ACROSS THE WESTERN BIG
COUNTRY AND WESTERN CONCHO VALLEY.

2. THE AREA MOST LIKELY TO SEE A LITTLE OF THIS RAIN AND SNOW MIX
WOULD BE WEST OF A SWEETWATER TO STERLING CITY LINE...ESPECIALLY
FROM THE HILLS SOUTH OF SWEETWATER...ACROSS WESTERN COKE COUNTY
WEST OF ROBERT LEE...TO NEAR STERLING CITY.

3. WITH GROUND TEMPERATURES STILL VERY WARM...ANY SNOW THAT DOES
FALL SHOULD NOT STICK TO AREA ROADWAYS. HOWEVER...AREAS WEST OF
THAT STERLING CITY TO SWEETWATER LINE MAY BRIEFLY SEE A LIGHT
DUSTING OF SNOW ON GRASSY AREAS. ANY SNOW THAT DOES FALL WILL
QUICKLY MELT.

4. FOR ABILENE AND SAN ANGELO...ALTHOUGH A FLAKE OR TWO OF SNOW CAN
NOT BE RULED OUT...THE PRECIPITATION IS EXPECTED TO REMAIN MAINLY
JUST AS A COLD RAIN.

SUMMARY...

A COLD FRONT WILL COMBINE WITH AN APPROACHING UPPER LEVEL
DISTURBANCE TO PRODUCE WIDESPREAD RAIN ACROSS PORTIONS OF WEST
CENTRAL TEXAS...MAINLY NORTH OF A SAN ANGELO TO BROWNWOOD LINE.
TEMPERATURES MAY FALL QUICKLY ENOUGH ACROSS THE WESTERN CONCHO
VALLEY AND WESTERN BIG COUNTRY TO SEE A LITTLE SNOW MIX IN WITH
THE RAIN AROUND SUNRISE...ESPECIALLY FOR THE HILLS ALONG AND WEST
OF A SWEETWATER TO STERLING CITY LINE. WITH TEMPERATURES REMAINING
ABOVE FREEZING...THE SNOW WILL NOT STICK TO ROADWAYS AND WILL
LIKELY QUICKLY MELT.

FOR THE REMAINDER OF WEST CENTRAL TEXAS...A COLD RAIN WILL BE
LIKELY. TEMPERATURES WILL FALL THROUGH THE NIGHT AS THE COLD FRONT PASSES...AND
STRUGGLE TO CLIMB MUCH ON TUESDAY. HIGHS IN THE 40S ARE EXPECTED.
