...SNOW SQUALLS ALONG THE WEST COAST OF ALASKA THIS MORNING...

A SHARP COLD FRONT STRETCHING FROM THE CHUKCHI SEA TO EASTERN
NORTON SOUND AT 11 AM THIS MORNING IS CAUSING SNOW SQUALLS AND
SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS ALONG THE WEST COAST OF ALASKA. THIS IS
CAUSING BRIEF HEAVY SNOW ALONG WITH STRONG GUSTY WINDS AND PERIODS
OF LOW VISIBILITY. BETWEEN 1 AND 3 INCHES OF SNOW IS EXPECTED.
THE STRONGEST WINDS ARE NORTH OF KOTZEBUE.

THE FRONT HAS MOVED EAST OF NOME AND WHITE MOUNTAIN. THE FRONT
WILL MOVE EAST THROUGH POINT HOPE...KOTZEBUE AND UNALAKLEET BY
LATE AFTERNOON AND THEN CONTINUE MOVING INLAND. THE SNOW SHOWERS
WILL DIMINISH WEST OF THE FRONT.
