THURSDAY...

HAZARDOUS WEATHER...

 * LAKE EFFECT SNOW SHOWERS...HEAVY AT TIMES...WILL CONTINUE
   THROUGH LATE TONIGHT.

 * EXPECT ADDITIONAL SNOWFALL ACCUMULATIONS OF 2 TO 5 INCHES THROUGH
   LATE TONIGHT. THE GREATEST ACCUMULATIONS WILL OCCUR OVER WESTERN
   ALGER COUNTY...FROM SHINGLETON WESTWARD.

 * NORTH WINDS GUSTING OVER 25 MPH WILL CREATE AREAS OF BLOWING
   SNOW...ESPECIALLY IN OPEN AREAS NEAR LAKE SUPERIOR. THE SNOW AND
   BLOWING SNOW WILL RESULT IN OCCASIONAL WHITE OUT CONDITIONS INTO
   THE OVERNIGHT HOURS...ESPECIALLY ALONG M-28.

IMPACTS...

 * TRAVEL WILL BE VERY DIFFICULT DURING PERIODS OF HEAVY SNOW
   AND BLOWING SNOW. ROADS WILL BE SNOW COVERED AND SLIPPERY.

 * A LAKE EFFECT SNOW WARNING MEANS SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF LAKE
   EFFECT SNOW ARE FORECAST THAT WILL MAKE TRAVEL VERY HAZARDOUS

   MARQUETTE INTO THE OVERNIGHT HOURS BEFORE DIMINISHING.

 * EXPECT ADDITIONAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 1 TO 3 INCHES WITH THE
   GREATEST AMOUNTS OVER THE HURON MOUNTAINS AND ALONG AND EAST OF A
   LINE FROM HARVEY TO SKANDIA. LESS THAN AN INCH OF SNOW IS EXPECTED
   ELSEWHERE ACROSS MARQUETTE COUNTY.
