...WINTER STORM CONTINUES TO IMPACT THE REGION...

.A SLOW MOVING LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL CONTINUE TO IMPACT THE
REGION TONIGHT THROUGH THURSDAY MORNING...BRINGING PERIODS OF SNOW
SHOWERS TO THE AREA...ALONG WITH BITTER COLD AIR. SNOW SHOWERS WILL
TO CONTINUE OVER THE AREA TONIGHT...THEN TAPER OFF FROM THE
SOUTHWEST ON WEDNESDAY. IN THE VALLEY...MOSTLY LOCALIZED LIGHT SNOW
ACCUMULATIONS ARE EXPECTED. HOWEVER...IN THE EAST TENNESSEE
MOUNTAINS...MORE SIGNIFICANT SNOW IS EXPECTED ON AND OFF THROUGH
WEDNESDAY NIGHT...WITH AN ADDITIONAL 3 TO 6 INCHES EXPECTED ALONG
THE MOUNTAIN PEAKS ABOVE 4000 FEET...WITH A FEW HIGHER AMOUNTS
POSSIBLE ALONG THE HIGHEST PEAKS OF THE SMOKIES.

ADDITIONALLY...VERY COLD WIND CHILL TEMPERATURES WILL ACCOMPANY
THE SNOWS WITH READINGS IN THE SINGLE DIGITS IN THE VALLEY AND AS
COLD AS -5 TO -15 DEGREES IN THE MOUNTAINS BY TONIGHT...AND AGAIN

* IMPACTS...THE SNOW WILL CAUSE HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITIONS...
  ESPECIALLY ON SECONDARY ROADS. TRAVEL IS STRONGLY
  DISCOURAGED... TONIGHT THROUGH WEDNESDAY IN THE HIGH
  MOUNTAINOUS TERRAIN. UNLESS IT IS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY!

A WINTER STORM WARNING FOR HEAVY SNOW MEANS SEVERE WINTER WEATHER
CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED OR OCCURRING.  SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF
SNOW ARE FORECAST THAT WILL MAKE TRAVEL DANGEROUS. IN ADDITION...
SNOWFALL INTENSITIES WILL BE HEAVY ENOUGH TO SUBSTANTIALLY REDUCE
VISIBILITIES AT TIMES. TRAVEL IS DISCOURAGED. IF TRAVEL IS
UNAVOIDABLE...KEEP AN EXTRA FLASHLIGHT...FOOD...AND WATER IN YOUR
VEHICLE IN CASE OF AN EMERGENCY.

A WIND CHILL ADVISORY MEANS THAT COLD AIR AND STRONG WINDS WILL
COMBINE TO GENERATE VERY LOW WIND CHILLS. THESE CONDITIONS CAN
RESULT IN FROST BITE AND LEAD TO HYPOTHERMIA OR EVEN DEATH IF
