THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PUEBLO HAS ISSUED A WINTER STORM
WARNING FOR SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 2 PM
FRIDAY TO 5 PM MST MONDAY. THE WINTER STORM WATCH IS NO LONGER IN
EFFECT.

* LOCATION...THE EASTERN SAWATCH MOUNTAINS ABOVE 11000 FEET...THE
  LA GARITA MOUNTAINS ABOVE 10000 FEET...THE UPPER RIO GRANDE
  VALLEY BELOW 10000 FEET AND THE EASTERN SAN JUAN MOUNTAINS.

* CAUSE AND TIMING...A SERIES OF STORM SYSTEMS ARE EXPECTED TO
  IMPACT THE CONTINENTAL DIVIDE FROM FRIDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH AT
  LEAST MONDAY AFTERNOON. VERY HEAVY SNOW IN COMBINATION WITH
  STRONG WINDS ARE ANTICIPATED.

* SNOW ACCUMULATION...1 TO 3 FEET FOR THE SAWATCH AND LA GARITA
  RANGES...3 TO 4 FEET FOR THE SAN JUAN RANGE.

* WIND...WEST TO SOUTHWEST 15 TO 35 MPH...GUSTING IN EXCESS OF 50
  MPH.

* IMPACT...SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW IS EXPECTED TO CREATE HAZARDOUS
  WEATHER AND TRAVEL CONDITIONS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

WINTER STORMS MAY HAVE STRONG WINDS AND REDUCED VISIBILITY DUE TO
HEAVY SNOWFALL AND BLOWING SNOW. SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF OVER
8 INCHES IN THE MOUNTAINS MAY OCCUR. IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO
