THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF SOUTHWEST
IOWA...WEST CENTRAL IOWA...EAST CENTRAL NEBRASKA...NORTHEAST
NEBRASKA AND SOUTHEAST NEBRASKA.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

THERE WILL BE AN INCREASING CHANCE FOR THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS THE
AREA TONIGHT. STORMS COULD BECOME STRONG TO SEVERE AND WILL BE
CAPABLE OF PRODUCING GUSTY WINDS...SMALL HAIL AND LOCALLY HEAVY
RAIN.

A STRENGTHENING LOW LEVEL JET COMBINED WITH DEEPENING MOISTURE AND
WEATHER DISTURBANCES TRACKING IN THE FAST FLOW SHOULD RESULT IN
THUNDERSTORMS. THE FIRST AREA OF STORMS SHOULD BE TO OUR WEST AND
NORTH TODAY. LATER TONIGHT AND INTO FRIDAY...STORMS WILL BE
POSSIBLE LOCALLY. INSTABILITY IS ON THE LOWER SIDE...HOWEVER
SHEAR IS MODERATE. THERE IS SOME QUESTION AS TO WHERE THE
CONVECTIVE COMPLEX WILL DEVELOP AND MOVE TO NOCTURNALLY. WARMER
MID LEVEL TEMPERATURES SHOULD BUILD INTO THE SOUTHWEST PART OF THE
FORECAST AREA...SO THIS SHOULD LIMIT STORMS THERE.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY
THERE SHOULD BE LINGERING STORMS FRIDAY MORNING. INSTABILITY DOES
INCREASE AND THE POTENTIAL FOR STRONG TO SEVERE STORMS CONTINUES
WITH DAMAGING WINDS...HAIL...AND LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN POSSIBLE WHERE
THERE ARE STORMS.

THUNDERSTORMS MAY OCCUR OFF AN ON THROUGH THE PERIOD. THE HIGHEST
CHANCES WILL BE FRIDAY NIGHT AND SATURDAY NIGHT. SOME STORMS COULD
BE SEVERE FRIDAY EVENING AND FRIDAY NIGHT. LARGE HAIL...DAMAGING
WINDS...AND LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN ARE EXPECTED TO BE THE MAIN
HAZARDS.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

SPOTTER ACTIVATION WILL NOT BE NEEDED TODAY AND DEPENDING ON HOW
THE STORMS DEVELOP IN WESTERN/CENTRAL NEBRASKA AND SOUTH
DAKOTA...WILL PROBABLY NOT BE NEEDED IN NORTHEAST NEBRASKA
TONIGHT.
