IOWA...WEST CENTRAL IOWA...EAST CENTRAL NEBRASKA...NORTHEAST
NEBRASKA AND SOUTHEAST NEBRASKA.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

HOT AND HUMID WEATHER WILL OVERSPREAD THE AREA TODAY WITH
TEMPERATURES CLIMBING INTO THE MID AND UPPER 90S. AFTERNOON HEAT
INDEX VALUES ARE EXPECTED TO REACH BETWEEN 105 AND 110 DEGREES. AN
EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNING HAS BEEN ISSUED.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY

HOT AND HUMID WEATHER IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE THROUGH FRIDAY
WITH AFTERNOON HEAT INDEX VALUES RISING TO 105 TO 110 IN MANY
AREAS. AN EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNING WILL CONTINUE FOR THE AREA
THROUGH FRIDAY AFTERNOON. A COLD FRONT WILL PUSH INTO THE AREA ON
SATURDAY...HOWEVER HOT TEMPERATURES WILL STILL BE FOUND AHEAD OF
THE FRONT.

THERE IS A CHANCE FOR THUNDERSTORMS FRIDAY THROUGH SUNDAY FOR
PARTS OF THE AREA. ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE FRIDAY WITH
SCATTERED STORMS POSSIBLE SATURDAY AND SUNDAY.
