THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF SOUTHWEST
IOWA...WEST CENTRAL IOWA...EAST CENTRAL NEBRASKA...NORTHEAST
NEBRASKA AND SOUTHEAST NEBRASKA.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT

SOUTHEAST NEBRASKA AND SOUTHWEST IOWA WILL REACH THE VERY HIGH
FIRE DANGER CATEGORY THIS AFTERNOON AS TEMPERATURES APPROACH
80 DEGREES...GUSTY SOUTH WINDS PERSIST...AND RELATIVE HUMIDITY
VALUES LOWER TO AROUND 35 PERCENT.

IN ADDITION...THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE THIS EVENING AND
OVERNIGHT ACROSS MUCH OF THE AREA. A WEAKENING COLD FRONT IS
FORECAST TO MOVE INTO NORTHEAST NEBRASKA THIS AFTERNOON BEFORE
STALLING AS MOISTURE AND INSTABILITY INCREASE AHEAD OF A
DISTURBANCE LIFTING OUT OF THE SOUTHERN PLAINS. A FEW STRONG
STORMS COULD APPROACH SEVERE LIMITS WITH HAIL AND GUSTY WINDS FOR
SEVERAL HOURS THIS EVENING...GENERALLY NEAR OR SOUTH OF
INTERSTATE 80 IN NEBRASKA.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY

THUNDERSTORM CHANCES WILL REMAIN OVER MUCH OF THE AREA
SUNDAY...ESPECIALLY SUNDAY AFTERNOON AND SUNDAY NIGHT AS THE
DISTURBANCE MOVES ACROSS THE SOUTHERN PLAINS AND A REINFORCING
COLD FRONT PUSHES ACROSS THE AREA TOWARD AND INTO MONDAY MORNING.
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ARE NOT EXPECTED AT THIS TIME.

ADDITIONAL THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED OVER THE AREA TUESDAY NIGHT
INTO THURSDAY AS STRONG UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE APPROACHES THE
PLAINS. ALTHOUGH TIMING REMAINS SOMEWHAT UNCERTAIN...IT DOES
APPEAR AT LEAST STRONG OR EVEN SEVERE STORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE FOR
PART OF THAT TIME PERIOD...ESPECIALLY LATE WEDNESDAY INTO MIDDAY
THURSDAY.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

SPOTTER ACTIVATION SHOULD NOT BE NEEDED THIS AFTERNOON OR TONIGHT.
