THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF SOUTHWEST
IOWA...WEST CENTRAL IOWA...EAST CENTRAL NEBRASKA...NORTHEAST
NEBRASKA AND SOUTHEAST NEBRASKA.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

THERE IS A CHANCE OF ACCUMULATING SNOW ACROSS THE ENTIRE AREA
TONIGHT THROUGH TUESDAY. A STRONG STORM SYSTEM WILL CONTINUE TO
STRENGTHEN AS IT MOVES OVER THE AREA BRINGING WIDESPREAD
PRECIPITATION. RAIN WILL EVENTUALLY TRANSITION OVER TO A RAIN AND
SNOW MIX FROM NORTHWEST TO SOUTHEAST LATER TODAY. NORTHEAST
NEBRASKA MAY SEE A TRANSITION OVER TO SNOW AS EARLY AS LATE THIS
AFTERNOON WHILE AREAS LIKE OMAHA AND LINCOLN WILL NOT LIKELY TURN
OVER TO SNOW UNTIL AFTER 9 PM. SOUTHEAST NEBRASKA AND SOUTHWEST
IOWA MAY NOT TRANSITION TO SNOW UNTIL MIDNIGHT.

THERE ARE MANY UNCERTAINTIES IN THE SNOWFALL FORECAST.
COMPLICATING SNOWFALL ACCUMULATIONS WILL BE WARM SURFACE
TEMPERATURES...POTENTIALLY ALLOWING SNOW TO MELT AS IT HITS THE
GROUND. SNOWFALL ACCUMULATIONS THROUGH 7AM TUESDAY MORNING SHOULD
LIKELY BE ABOUT AN INCH...WITH SOME LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS
POSSIBLE IN NORTHEAST NEBRASKA AS WELL AS IN EAST CENTRAL
NEBRASKA AND SOUTHWEST IOWA.

PLEASE STAY TUNED TO UPDATED FORECASTS FOR ANY CHANGES REGARDING
THIS STRENGTHENING SYSTEM.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY

SNOW WILL CONTINUE THROUGH TUESDAY BEFORE ENDING FROM WEST TO EAST
LATE TUESDAY NIGHT. WIDESPREAD SNOWFALL ACCUMULATIONS OF 1-2
INCHES ARE LIKELY. THERE COULD BE SOME LOCALLY HIGHER
AMOUNTS...ESPECIALLY IN NORTHEAST NEBRASKA AND EAST CENTRAL
NEBRASKA AND SOUTHWEST IOWA.

THERE IS ANOTHER CHANCE OF LIGHT SNOW LATE CHRISTMAS NIGHT INTO
EARLY FRIDAY...MAINLY ACROSS NORTHEAST NEBRASKA AND WEST CENTRAL
IOWA.
