THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF SOUTHWEST
IOWA...WEST CENTRAL IOWA...EAST CENTRAL NEBRASKA...NORTHEAST
NEBRASKA AND SOUTHEAST NEBRASKA.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

THERE IS A SLIGHT RISK FOR SEVERE STORMS BEGINNING LATE THIS
AFTERNOON AND CONTINUING THROUGH THE EVENING...GENERALLY IN AREAS
ALONG AND NORTH OF INTERSTATE 80. DAMAGING WINDS AND LARGE HAIL
WILL BE THE PRIMARY THREATS...THOUGH HEAVY RAIN IS ALSO POSSIBLE.

A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL MOVE ACROSS NORTHEAST NEBRASKA LATE
THIS AFTERNOON. A FEW STORMS COULD FIRE WITH THIS SYSTEM. HOWEVER
THE MORE LIKELY SCENARIO WILL BE FOR STORMS TO FIRE ALONG A
TRAILING COLD FRONT THAT WILL SLIP TO A NORFOLK TO WAYNE LINE
DURING THE EVENING. SUFFICIENT INSTABILITY WILL BE IN PLACE WHILE
SHEAR WILL BE INCREASING THROUGH THE EVENING WITH THE INCREASE IN
A LOW LEVEL JET. THUNDERSTORMS DEVELOPING ALONG THE FRONT WILL
GRADUALLY EXPAND OR DEVELOP SOUTH WITH TIME DURING THE
EVENING...REACHING THE INTERSTATE 80 CORRIDOR BY LATE EVENING.
STORMS ARE EXPECTED TO CONTINUE OVERNIGHT AS THEY DRIFT OFF TO THE
NORTHEAST. AREAS IN SOUTHEAST NEBRASKA AND SOUTHWEST IOWA COULD
SEE STORMS OVERNIGHT...BUT THE BULK OF THE STRONGEST STORMS ARE
FORECAST TO REMAIN NEAR AND NORTH OF THE INTERSTATE.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY

THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE ENDING THURSDAY MORNING IN EAST CENTRAL
NEBRASKA AND WEST CENTRAL IOWA. BUT MORE DEVELOPMENT OF STORMS IS
POSSIBLE IN THE AFTERNOON THURSDAY AS A WARM FRONT LIFTS NORTH
THROUGH THE AREA. AREAS NORTH OF INTERSTATE 80 ARE THE MOST LIKELY
TO SEE STORMS THURSDAY AFTERNOON AND OVERNIGHT BEFORE THE FRONT
MOVES NORTH OF NEBRASKA.

MORE THUNDERSTORMS ARE LIKELY BEGINNING FRIDAY NIGHT...BUT
ESPECIALLY SATURDAY AND SATURDAY NIGHT...AS A POTENT UPPER LEVEL
LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM MOVES THROUGH THE REGION. HEAVY RAIN WILL BE
POSSIBLE WITH THESE THUNDERSTORMS.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

SPOTTER ACTIVATION MAY BE NEEDED THIS EVENING.
