A RETURN TO HOT WEATHER IS EXPECTED ACROSS THE MID MISSOURI RIVER
VALLEY TODAY AS A WARM FRONT LIFTS NORTH ACROSS THE REGION. ISOLATED
TO SCATTERED EARLY MORNING SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE
ACROSS THE AREA AS THE WARM AND MUGGY AIR RETURNS...BUT BY MID TO
LATE MORNING THE CLOUDS WILL DECREASE AND TEMPERATURES WILL TURN HOT
FOR THE AFTERNOON. HEAT ADVISORIES ARE IN EFFECT FOR A GOOD PART OF
THE CENTRAL PLAINS IN ANTICIPATION OF THE HEAT. THE HOT WEATHER IS
EXPECTED TO CONTINUE INTO THE EARLY PART OF THE WORK AHEAD OF A COLD
FRONT THAT WILL MOVE THROUGH THE AREA ON TUESDAY NIGHT BRINGING
COOLER WEATHER FOR MID WEEK.

HIGHS TODAY WILL GENERALLY BE IN THE LOWER TO MID 90S ACROSS THE
AREA. LOWS TONIGHT WILL ONLY FALL INTO THE LOWER TO MID 70S IN THE
REGION.
